Do you want a conditioning workout so tough it’ll make you cry?
Well this jus might be it. Fortunately it is scalable down to whatever level you are at right now.
Yesterday my guys were doing varying levels, few managed, or even dared to go to the top level.
It’s based on the Adding On format that I was taught back in Personal Trainer school for the aerobics section. But don’t worry, this isn’t aerobics, and it’ll have a far greater affect on the body then any amount of Zumba!
The concept is simple, do an exercise, then add another one each time. The workout here offers up to 5 exercises, but only the advanced guys and girls hit all 5.
Here’s how it looks:
1 – Swings x 10
2 – Swings x 10, Push Ups x 10
3 – Swings x 10, Push Ups x 10, Goblet Squat x 10
4 – Swings x 10, Push Ups x 10, Goblet Squat x 10, Burpee x 5
5 – Swings x 10, Push Ups x 10, Goblet Squat x 10, Burpee x 5, Snatch x 5l/r
That’s one full round. Try to complete 3-5 rounds.
Beginners need only do levels one to three, intermediates try adding in 4, and advanced go all the way.
Most of the Lunchtime fitness group did up to level 3, a few managed level 4. The evening group are a little more advanced, so after some heavy pressing they hit the entire thing for 3 rounds using 20, 24 and 28kg bells, impressive stuff!
